Autumn in Rome

Rome is one of the greenest cities in Europe, and from the end of October its colors start to change to the brown, orange and yellow of the autumn leaves. The stunning Plane Trees which surrounds the Tiber and a few streets of the city centre (including Via Barletta where QuodLibet bed and breakfast is located) start to lose their leaves and to shift their colors.

From the beginning of November the city becomes quieter, less people on the street but many more lights and colors.

Some shops at the beginning of November start with their Christmas decorations, and the atmosphere that people can perceive in the city is more and more relaxed. It is like a “waiting for something” time.

From the beginning of November the Autumn in Rome is a very good season to come. A season to find good deals, a season to enter the Museums with no crowds, a season to eat at the restaurants without booking … a season to be tourists without being tourists.

A few moments of rain to clear the sky once in a while, but a mild temperature. A jacket will do, but nothing more than that.

Autumn in Rome is a very good time for a short (or long) city break. Do not lose this opportunity!
