Location

a quiet spot right in the center of Rome

The strategic position of QuodLibet in the center of Rome, allows its guests to enjoy a local atmosphere, full of local shops, restaurants, Gelaterie, bakeries. A quiet residential neighborhood right besides the Vatican City walls. According to the Romans, this is the best area to live in Rome, also because of its easiness to be reached: well connected by metro (the subway line A), and easy to reach even by car.

Trees lined large and airy streets, imposing XIX century buildings … and just a few hundred meters away the majesty of St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, Sant’Angelo Castel, and a bit further all the rest of the historic city centre.

Staying in our area gives to our guests the opportunity to stay in the centre of Rome but slightly away from the touristy crowds, having the possibility to come back home and to breath again in a local and familiar atmosphere… choose the right local non touristy restaurant, go for a very good ice cream after dinner, or enter in the famous 24 hours bakery right besides our building entrance door

I stayed here for three nights with a friend and we each booked our own room. I had the Spring Room and my friend had the Summer Room. Both rooms are ample size for one or two people and have very bright colors. The pictures on their website are accurate. Rooms are located on the 4th floor of an apartment building, but there is an elevator to take you up! Gianluca checked us in and he was very nice and accommodating. He gave us a city map and outlined two walking tours for us to take during our stay. The AC worked great in each room and it was hot in Rome during our stay. There is satellite TV if you wish to watch English channels. There is a kitchen available for all guests to use. Breakfast is on the roof of the building and consists of pastries, juice, fruit, cold cuts, fresh bread, yogurt, coffee or tea, and eggs prepared however you like. As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is ideal for sightseeing in Rome. We were less than 5 minutes from the Ottaviano subway stop and 10 minutes from the Vatican. It was about a 35 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. I am glad that we arranged for a driver to pick us up at the cruise port and take us here. That made the place simple to find. The bed and breakfast (really a small inn) deserves its #1 ranking.
