One of the things people often underestimate about Italy is how much it changes from one region to another.Different landscapes.Different food.Different rhythms.Sometimes it feels like visiting several countries in one journey.— Connie & Gianluca#travelrome #travelitaly #romeitaly #amalficoast_italy #romatravel ... Since everyone in Rome is currently looking for shade, cold drinks, and good gelato, this week’s recommendation felt fairly obvious.Lemongrass has been one of our favorite gelaterias for years. Not because it has the biggest selection in town, but because it focuses on doing a few things exceptionally well. The pistachio is wonderful, the zabaione is famous for good reason, and even the classic flavors somehow feel more interesting here.It is the kind of place where you immediately notice the quality of the ingredients. And the kind of place many locals return to again and again.Which, in Rome, is usually the best compliment a place can receive.— Connie & Gianluca#gelato #icecream #roma #rome #gelatoroma ... Could you go from Rome to 1,600 metres above sea level and then have lunch over the Adriatic Sea on the same day?One of the things we love most about central Italy is the incredible variety of landscapes that can be experienced in a single day. This journey started in Rome at 7:30 AM.By 9:00 AM we were already at Campo Imperatore, often called "Italy's Little Tibet", surrounded by the vast plateau of the Gran Sasso National Park and the imposing Corno Grande. From there we continued to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, one of Italy's most beautiful medieval villages, before reaching the spectacular fortress of Rocca Calascio, standing high above the surrounding mountains.A few hours later, the scenery changed completely. The mountains gave way to the Adriatic Sea and the famous Trabocchi Coast, where we enjoyed lunch on a traditional trabocco, one of the ancient wooden fishing structures that have become a symbol of this coastline. From Rome to the mountains. From the mountains to the sea.A journey through some of the many souls of Italy.🎥 Filmed with DJI Mini 5 Pro#Abruzzo #Italy #GranSasso #CampoImperatore #RoccaCalascio #Trabocchi #Travel #DronePhotography #QuodlibetJourneys ... Rome in summer can be wonderful.Rome in a heatwave requires a slightly different approach 😌This is usually when the most carefully planned itineraries begin to suffer. Our advice?Slow down.Eat longer lunches.Use the cooler hours wisely.Leave space for rest. The goal is not to “push through.”The goal is to enjoy the city enough to remember why you came.(And yes, gelato absolutely helps.)— Connie & Gianluca#heatwave #romatravel #travelrome #touritaly #rometravel ...
