Hi, I’m Gianluca.
I studied cultural anthropology, and I’ve always been fascinated by the different ways people live, move, and experience a place.
Rome is not only my city – it’s the environment I love observing, understanding, and sharing through these small stories.
Together with my wife Connie, we host travellers in our small hotel near the Vatican, where we enjoy meeting people from all over the world and exchanging perspectives – just as I do here in the blog.
If you ever feel like saying hello while exploring Rome, you’ll find us on our terrace as well, where every morning we serve breakfast with a view.

Campo dei Fiori, the JEwish Quarter and The Capitoline Hill
Here you have a very nice walking path that gives you the opportunity to walk along some of the nicest spots of the historic city centre of Rome:
You will be passing through St. Peter’s Square, St. Angelo Castle and St. Angelo Bridge, Via Giulia, the market at Campo Dei Fiori (the morning is better to see it at work), pass through Roscioli to eat something in the Jewish Quarter, the Turtle Fountain, the Capitol Hill with tne Capitoline Museums and the stunning view overlooking the Archeologic Area, the Coliseum, Roman Forum and Palatine, possibilly a walk to St. Peter in Chain with the Michelangelo “Mose”statue, and the Basilica of St. Clemente, then finish with St. John in Lateran (a must see Basilica – the Cathedral of Rome), and righ at Piazzale Appio catch the Metro line “A” (direction “Battistini” – 1,50 EUR ticket) and come back to our Location getting off at OTTAVIANO SAN PIETRO stop (15 minutes metro ride)
