Hi, I’m Gianluca.
I studied cultural anthropology, and I’ve always been fascinated by the different ways people live, move, and experience a place.
Rome is not only my city – it’s the environment I love observing, understanding, and sharing through these small stories.
Together with my wife Connie, we host travellers in our small hotel near the Vatican, where we enjoy meeting people from all over the world and exchanging perspectives – just as I do here in the blog.
If you ever feel like saying hello while exploring Rome, you’ll find us on our terrace as well, where every morning we serve breakfast with a view.

Set in the biggest park of the center of Rome – park of Villa Borghese – the Borghese Gallery is a small and intimate museum which hosts world-class Sculptures and Paintings from the Baroque Period. Once the private collection of the Cardinal Scipione Borghese, this museum is a must to be seen site of Rome.
From Caravaggio to Raphael, Titan and Rubens, its frescoes, marble stucco and interior design gives a peculiar light to the masterpieces collected in this museum.
The mandatory reservation system keeps crowds and queues away.
The entrances are every 2 hours, beginning at 9:00 am (9:00 – 11:00 – 13:00 – 15:00 – 17:00), and guests can’t stay longer. The Museum is anyway quite small, so you can visit it in 2 hours really enjoying its beauty.
To reserve your entrance (at least 2 weeks before your arrival) visit the website www.tosc.it or better call the reservation office (open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm – Italian time) at this number +39 06 32810 (keep your credit card with you because prepayment is needed).
